Patricia Aaron is an American painter best known for her gestural abstract landscapes composed of layers of encaustic pigments and mixed media applied to custom panels in her signature style painting technique. Her paintings fuse the raw beauty of nature, earthscapes, and urban culture. Aaron's paintings are reflective, pure and honest often embedded with rich story lines. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Aaron studied art overseas in London, Paris, and Augsburg receiving her undergraduate degree from University of Maryland Heidelberg, Germany. Aaron received her MFA at the Denver University School of Art and Art History, Denver, CO. Aaron has received artist fellowships including: Ucross Foundation, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Santa Fe Art Institute, Anderson Ranch Art Center, Hafnarborg Centre for Culture and Fine Arts, SIM, Museum of Outdoor Arts, and Hui No'eau.
Aaron lives and works in Greenwood Village, Colorado.
