The State of Nature exhibit opens at Space Gallery October 7, 2022

Friends,

My recent series of work titled, The State of Nature, is on view at Space Gallery in Denver, CO October 7 - November 12, 2022. 

Opening on a warm autumn First Friday of October in the Arts District was a huge plus! We welcomed many friends, collectors and art enthusiasts during the evening and into the weekend. I have nearly two dozen new works showing in the Main Gallery and Upper Gallery. I hope you will stop by during the show. Gallery Hours

Artist statement

I have an attraction to open spaces, solitude, and unspoiled wilderness.  So I head north.  My desire to bare witness to the changes occurring in the Arctic landscape have frequently taken me to Iceland.

Immersing myself into this place is akin to entering into a rapturous dream.  Imagine a place where glaciers melt, waterfalls thunder into canyons, volcanoes burst, bird life teems, earth explodes with steam, weather challenges, icebergs drift and at the same time silence abounds.

While vast stretches of the evening horizon and steel grey ocean meld into one, I can hold that gaze and paint like the wind.
